Dangerous service, still not received vouchers or a sincere apology 4 weeks later

on 8.05.2014, I hit a pothole and had to wait on the side of the road for 3.5 HOURS waiting for the RAC to attend, with two small children aged 5 and 1 years old. The RAC did not phone me to update me with the ETA of the tow truck and also gave them our wrong location and told them there was no spare tyre. The RAC also did not tell the garage where my car was towed to that it was there, when I went in in the morning they had no idea that my car had been left there overnight with no instruction to mend it. I phoned the RAC to complain about the awful and dangerous service of leaving a young single woman by herself on the side of a road until 9 pm with two small children, and was told rather smuggly that I did eventually get towed but not in the expected time period, but still the service was delivered and I could have £40 of shopping vouchers for the poor service; which I have still not received. I have written a letter of complaint to the managing director and have had no response. I have as a result cancelled my cover the RAC due to this awful service and I have also had terrible customer service before, so this was a last chance. I am awaiting a refund as you have admitted that the mistakes were on your part and not in line with company policy. If I do not hear anything AGAIN I will be contacting the Ombudsman.
