Mondeo 2002 TDCi - flashing glo plug light - power down - difficult to start

Hi, My mondy has lost power and the glo plug light is flashing, also a pain to start. It does NOT cut out though.
Reading forums many suggest the cam sensor or/and the crank sensor - do you think the problem may be due to these?
I'm waiting delivery of an F-Super kit to read the codes but any steer whilst I await delivery would be greatfully received!
