Rear end shunt, other driver lied

I posted earlier. Basically my fiancee was rear ended by a driver. This caused him to bump into the car in front. Our car was written off.

Anyhows the driver behind is claiming my fiance was changing lanes and she has two witnesses. This is a complete fabrication.

My fiance gave his statement to the insurance company and gave details of the driver in front as a witness. The driver in front has confirmed that the driver behind rear shunted my fiances car. However he has also claimed my fiance initially bumped into him first too (though he is not claiming) . Then the car behind bumped into my fiance. This is not true. My fiance braked and did stop in time. I was a passenger in the vehicle.

Would this affect our claim against the driver behind? Can we dispute the claim? Any advice much appreciated. I feel this strongly undermines our case. :(
