I need some advice. My car went into the garage on Monday to have a new cam belt done. I'd had a bit of an oil leak to so I asked them to take a look at that. I picked it up and they said it was the casing round the oil filter needed replacing and they would order the part, tracking and door seals done, all in all, £360.
Next day, car doesn't start properly and lots of smoke from the exhaust, few miles down the road, engine makes a funny noise and before I know, it loses power on me in the middle of a main road. RAC pick it up and he said it's going to cost THEM a lot of money to repair. Garage are saying it's the cam shaft seizing up from not getting any oil and it's going to be very expensive to repair. Who's right? Before I fork out £100's.
