Back in August I was parking car in tight space. I was parked too far over to right to leave it in this position but I stopped do my elderly dad could easily get out on passenger side as there would be more room. as he was getting out a car went behind me. I started back up and parked up properly. When I got out a man charged at me saying I hit his car. He got so aggressive I had to call the police. They spoke to him via my mobile and he calmed down. The police told me I needed to tell my insurance and to photograph the non accident and to exchange details. Now I have come to renew my insurance I have been told this is now classed as a claim. The guy never put in a claim not surprising as there was no damage to either car because no collision. I have also been told that this will last 2 years so effectively I'm like a new driver again. This just doesn't seem right not sure what should do??? Any ideas as seems unfair? The whole thing felt odd I'm sure was start of some scam that hasn't took place. Confused here
