Hi guys,
I'm in a bit of a predicament. I am currently 18 years old so insurance prices for me are ridiculously expensive. 2000+ even as an additional driver. I do really need some form of transport to get me to work on the weekends as it's across town. I was beginning to give up but a friend I've known since primary school said that he could not only sell me his car, but put me on his traders policy. He's even said that I would not need to pay him as we are good friends. The car itself I'm not too worried about because he is selling it to me for dirt cheap. I am worried howevery about this traders insurance as I am not fully aware on how it works.
He told me today that I am his brothers policy, but in a few weeks I will be on my own. But I don't have any proof of that, I trust him but I am still unsure as I asked someone else who owns a garage and he said that when you are traders you will receive a cover note stating that you are covered. My main concern is that I don't want to get pulled over and then get points on my license. So if some one coulday shed some light on this I will be very grateful. Thank you in advance
