Hi all, I have 2006 ford focus 1.6 diesel 120002 miles (is that enough info Dennis? Its also blue :p )
Back in january it had a collapsed crankshaft pulley or something, that was fixed with new cambelt to the tune of 850 quid.
Last few weeks the engine systems fault light intermittently comes on which is common for a focus. Its now permanently on. Its cut out approx 5 times in past 3 months. 3 times were on a steep hill at low speed/high rev. Other 3 times coming away from a set of lights moving from 3rd gear into 4th. These lights are the first stop I'll have on my daily commute and are about 30miles after I start my trip. I basically never take the car above 2500 revs if I can help it but im surrounded by hills!
Some days there is a slight noise, not a rattle like the crankshaft made, cant explain it just doesnt sound right. I also feel it runs worse on cheap fuel like asda but that may just be me feeling paranoid!
I dont have 850 quid to spare so looking for possible faults & expected costs
