Doblo 1.9 Diesel MPV disability adapted low floor.
2nd owner Bought from dealer in 2012. Adapted from new in 2007 when first registered.
My question is regarding minimum ground clearance of the most vulnerable piece of equipment. The adapted fuel tank!
The low point of which gives 75mm (3 inches) ground clearance and inevitably has scrapes with some speed bumps and is now leaking.
Do I have any recourse of action to the Company that adapted the vehicle in 2007 ?
They have not responded to email suggesting their adaptation was not fit for purpose.
Also there seems to be no minimum ground clearance rules in the UK. I did find Australian regulations stating 100mm (4 inches)
There are 1999 UK regulations however permitting speed bumps up to 100mm above the line measured from the start to the end
At only 75mm ground clearance the Company adapting the vehicle may have liability to put this right.
As second owner I don't know if any rights apply.
