Ford Fiesta Speedometer '98

Hi,

Apologies in advanced - I'm not really car literate so forgive me if the question sounds somewhat dimwitted.

I've recently bought a '98 plate (S Reg) Ford Fiesta and have a query regarding the speedometer. It looks almost like the picture in the link below. I just wanted to know if 81882 is the actual mileage, what is the 0000 dial counting? and does the trip reset the mileage?
