I bought a car yesterday from what appeared to be a very genuine man. Driving home from work last night, I slowed to leave the onto my exit slip road and suddenly the dash lit up, dials went down, but engine remained running and CD etc still playing. There was the powertrain malfunction light left on and slight loss of acceleration up through the gears. When I got home and turned the engine off I went to show my other half but it had cleared? This morning on the way to work, whilst accelerating onto the main road from my joining slip road it happened again! Charming (NOT) man that I bought the car from will not talk to me about it. Turning the engine off resets everything and it drives fine. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated....I need an idea what may be wrong before I break the news to the other half who is NOT going to be happy that we have been 'dooped' by this guy!
