This query is about my ford focus 2 litre auto 2007 model.
It has started making a noise which I can only describe as a kind of low moaning coming from the front passenger side.
It isn't very loud, but occasionally gets louder at low speeds when parking etc.
It only happens when the car is moving below about 35 mph, seems to get worse if I'm cruising downhill with my foot off the accelerator, but always stops immediately if I touch the brake pedal, even if only very lightly.
It doesn't change with engine speed or if I shift gears. It might happen more if I'm steering left but that could be my imagination. It doesn't seem to be directly related to road speed.
Brakes, steering and suspension all feel normal.
The car has only done 40k and all the brake parts are original. The pads are not worn down.
The noise started about 6 weeks ago and seems to be slowly getting worse. Major service and mot 4 months ago, front tyres about a year old.
I have heard all the jokes about trying a divorce.
Any help or suggestions gratefully received.
