I bought a K12 Micra that had been stood for a while and the battery had gone flat. The owner took the battery off, charged it up, then when he reconnected it the car would not even turn over......The green key light comes on then goes off (I assume that means the key is recognised....but the red car symbol with the black key inside it remains on......The car is an 04, 'keyless' SE model....I went to the trouble of buying a complete set of units from a working car i.e. ECU, Body Control Module, Immobiliser Box, Steering lock and key assembly, Fuse box under passenger headlight AND the speedo.....fitted them all and it was exactly the same......Nissan dealer is talking 'arms and legs' of payment just to look.......I have also had an automotive electronic specialist look at it but he went away without any success....
The codes are P1611 NATS Malfunction and U1001 CAN Communication Circuit Fault........I also have a B10232 Pass A/B Indicator Circuit and B1024 Pass A/B Deactivation Switch but the latter two I guess are wiring faults....... I would have thought that changing everything would have worked but am maybe thinking that this is a lot simpler than I thought and could be wiring fault !!!!!
Any ideas gentlemen ?
