Hi All
My first ever post on the RAC forum! Please be easy on me.... ;-)
Ok so I have an issue with my Ford Focus and I am unsure exactly what has caused it to occur.
Had an issue with my Front driver side dimmer bulb which had blown, so I replaced it with a new one, no problem. That now works fine.
However since I have changed this dimmer bulb both my front 2 main head lamps are now not working. I have checked the bulbs, they haven't blown and I have also checked some of the fuses on the front passenger junction box fuse board.
I have looked at the following fuses and none have blown:
Fuse 37 - Main beam left side
Fuse 38 - main beam right side
Fuse 49 - Lighting control battery supply
Fuse 60 - dipped beam right side
Fuse 61 - dipped beam left side
I am confident this is a fuse that has just blown, as that is the only explanation I can think that would cause this (unless anyone has any ideas of something else).
I went to 2 local garages, told them what I had checked and they think it could be some sort of electrical problem if the bulbs and fuses are ok, but I just dont understand how that could be, all I did was change a bulb.
My question really is
Are there any other fuses I should check?
Could it be a shortcircuit somewhere
anything else I could check myself
I can confirm the lights were working before I changed them and all other lights and electrical inside and outside the car are working.
Any advice on this would be most appreciated.
Thanks
