Hi everybody,
I am back with a request for more advice, this time about a 1995 Mazda 323 1.5 88hp saloon with 150,000 miles on the clock that is extremely smoky on start up only when cold. After the engine warms up no smoke. It drives perfectly and has just done a 266 mile journey on £35 of petrol so no probs there. There is some oil around the spark plug on no:4 cylinder and I have been told that it is a leaking rocker cover gasket causing oil to leak into the cylinder.
Will it be possible to use 'instant gasket' as opposed to a new gasket (for financial reasons) and could someone give me a quick walk through of the procedure.
I have the tools needed for doing this job and think I am competent enough to do the job but just need some pointers.
Thanks in advance for all your help and advice
