Car has a random misfire cylinder 1 showing on the diagnostics but no management light on or codes logged, have changed the plugs and coil pack for good oem parts and its still the same. Misfire comes and goes but the car still hesitates and bogs down on the throttle.
Cant see any other obvious signs of problems but have heard these engines (1.4) suffer with timing chain problems, the engine isnt very noisy to be honest. Ive put cam sensors on it in the past, it seems to eat them for a living!
Thinking maybe do a compression test on no 1 first and go from there, anybody heard any issues with these engines related to valve problems etc?
