Yellow Box at T-Junction. What are Rules please?

Can you clarify something please. At a nearby T Junction, half the road has a yellow box junction in the right to left part of the road. There are no traffic lights. If you are approaching from the bottom of the 'T' and are intending to turn right, can you enter the yellow box and wait for a gap in the traffic coming from the left to the right? It is often the case that unless you move out into the box, no one will ever let you out as it is a continuous stream of traffic coming through from left to right. To state the problem breifly, the Highway code talks about stopping in the box if you are waiting to turn right but are prevented from doing so by 'oncoming' traffic. But what about waiting to turn right at a T-Junction and being prevented by their being no gap in the traffic stream by traffic coming from the left to right direction, causing you to come out 'half-way' and waiting, thus causing you stop within the yellow box until there is a gap (or forcing somebody to let you in). Thanks
