Hi guys, I need some advice please. I've currently got a Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback and looking to buy a new car. Ideally Ford KA Zetec or Fiesta. I'm aware of the rust warnings and the places to look for them. What about cambelt and alternator belt. You have to change them every so often. Is that just recommodations? The one car I was looking at, had one elderly lady owner and a young woman. The lady must have done around 70000Miles and the younger woman only around 600/700 for her driving test. The latter isn't aware of any changes on the cambelt and neither could we find anything in the receipts from the garage. Asking price for the KA Zetec, 2009, was £2400. When test driving, my friend who came with me, thought it was the alternator belt that made a squeeky noise. Apparently that needed tightening. The car would also need new break pads and tyres at some point. What are your thoughts on that and also the belts. What would be worst case if they aren't being changed? Thank you
