I've always thought that those who tow caravans are, in the main, sensible types- predominantly 'mature' in age, and careful with what is an expensive item they're towing.
This afternoon however, I was on a dual carriageway A road, NSL, in lane 2 overtaking a series of HGVs. I'm doing 70ish, and become aware of a car following very close behind. Continue along overtaking the HGVs then pull back in when safe to do so. Then I see this car (Focus Estate i think) overtake me, doing what must have been over 80mph, with a large caravan - of the long double axle type. The caravan was bouncing around in a violent fashion, and the car seemed to have quite a lively ride to it, presumably in part due to the caravan.
The whole thing looked pretty dangerous and I can only imagine what would happen if they had lost control.
