Hi there, I have a 2002 Astra G 1.8 16v SRI z18xe engine. The cars alternator was going bad so I replaced it and replaced the fan belt to connect to the air con pump, after doing this the car started fluctuating when coming to a stop. However when I turned the ac on the car completely cut out. I took the belt off and replaced it with a non ac one. Ever since doing this my engine and mil light comes on with various codes saying the throttle body is going wrong. When coming to a stop at traffic lights or braking with the clutch down my rpms drop to 600 then up to over 1500 and fluctuate. I have replaced the 02 sensors, MAF, throttle body and all breather hoses and even new inlet pipes after the MAF. The garage looked at it after this and said they couldn't figure out what was causing it as all sensors where working well and it is still over fuelling. I was just wondering whether it is an ECU fault or what it could be, I know some Astra's have MAP sensors but not sure if mine has one. Any help is much appreciated as this is a pain in the butt.
