Hi, my partner was recently contacted by his insurance company to be told that they have found to claims against him from 2015 that he did not declare when taking out the insurance. One was for £12,000 and the other around £2000. My partner has no knowledge of these claims whatsoever and was never contacted by his then Insurance company to advise claims were being made or to give him the opportunity to dispute. He does however remember one of the 'bumps' which was a slight nudge into the car in front whilst sat in slow traffic and certainly not anything that could amount to £12,000! Where does he stand with this? Can an Insurance company pay someone out without taking instruction from their own client??
