Renault Clio 1.2 16v 2004 ECU problem options?

I had a misfire on one cylinder and inadvertently i was supplied a 3 bolt instead of 4 bolt coil pack and then i had no spark whereas prior it would miss under load and light came on.Now there is no power/signal to the coil pack.It has the non troublesome engine loom by the look as no silicon cover on it but i can't rule out a loom issue altogether.Garage asked for an ECU and a loom and a throttle body but i imagine it will be only one of these things.What is the best course of action?Source a plug and play ECU to suit and see if that works first?
ECU is Siemens SIM32 S120201105 A 8200417597
