separate caravan insurance and recovery

Hi, i have Roadside, Recovery and accident Care and i believe this statement is correct "Should the vehicle break down while towing a caravan or trailer, we shall recover your vehicle together with the caravan or trailer". But if i take out your caravan insurance as well, will this cover the caravan itself breaking down, either on the vehicle or off.
