Around a month prior I was driving down the motorway when the engine oil pressure light signalled on me, l left my car to cool off for around 3 hours, checked the oil lever which is fine (not above nor beneath lever) the colour is likewise fine. I then drove back home and around a hour later the light returned on again and it would be kept on for about a minute and after that vanish again and would return on again after some time.
I then took it to a car garage and they had a brief look and said the oil pump sounds great and the oil is great they let me know they would replace the oil sending unit as the oil light is not consistence, in hope this would have fixed my problem
After they then rang me saying it was to do with the timming belt and it would cost me 650 pounds to repair. I said no as I didn't trust them and took it home. They made me pay 36 pounds to have the car looked up by means of the PC.
Presently the auto wont start up at all unless I push the gas pedal and upon start up it would deliver abit of dark smoke which implies its burning oil i reckon. Additionally during cold start ups the RPM would stay at 1000rpm and wouldn't go down to 750 until the auto is warm. Additionally when revving up the auto to lets say 4000 RPM it would go down to 1500 RPM typically yet at 1500 and 1000 it would go down gradually
