RAC Breakdown service is a knightmare
Absolutely disgusting service, I been left in the middle of the road with my car broken down,took an hour to answer my call, the Patrol man arrived in about an hour that too in london East ham, Clements road E6, instead of asking the problem he demanded my licence as though he is a cop, Once I showed him my licence, he turned himself into a devil and started presurrising me to buy an upgrade orelse he wont do the roadside repair as my current address is different to what is there on the licence, then i explained to him very politely that i have recently shifted to the current address temporarlly what you got on your system as there is some refurbishment work going on at my privious home address and even though if you still wanted to assume my previous address as my current address, you could easily find out that i am over quarter of mile away from that address and I just came to see my relatives here and wanted to return home in croydon, since I moved temporaly I dont required to change my address on my driving license but when I bought the policy I clearly mentioned to sales advisor that my current address is temporary and will move back to my previous address shortly, he explained to me there wont be any problem if just explained to them if you happened to have a car breakdown they would realise your situation. Unfortunately even though I explained to him everything and my car is ragistered on their Data, all my details are ragistered on the their system, they knew I am the genuine customers and making a legitimate claim when had a car breakdown but RAC Patrol man not only made illigitmate demand of doing an upgrade when I refused he just left me there in the middle of the road without doing the roadside repair, I literally have to push my car and asked for help from other road users to get myself to safety. Than I made several calls the customer service advisor were so pathetic put me on hold for two hours with only one answer upgrade you breadkdown cover to home start cover, orelse they wont help me and they were insisting upon me to take home start cover for an address I am not currently staying at and hieght of stupidity is that they are deliberately ignoring my current address 20 miles away in croydon, I had to call my brother and he did manage to arrange AA breakdown patrol guys and they just arrived in 10 mins and got the job done and got me on the move without asking me for any Driving license or any ID even though I was not their customer but they have shown that they value customers who are in need of help not like RAC Breakdown service provider so pathetic and horrible that I woudnt even bother to recommend to my enemy forget about friends.
