Failed my test 3 hours ago. Devastated. Any advice?

I did my test in Essex. I got 4 minors and 1 major. My major was the most stupid thing I've ever done. I didn't recognise a road, and I was nervous, so the examiner said turn right and I moved to the right hand side where cars turn into. So I got a serious for response to signs/signals.

I've now been failed by the same examiner twice. It is a small centre, so I'm probably likely to get him again. My instructor said I should just rebook the test, there's nothing more they can teach me. They say I drive really well and the mistakes I make to fail aren't because of lack of practice, but due to nerves or momentary rash thinking. They basically said even if I do 100 more hours of practice, it wouldn't matter, all I need to do is learn not to get nervous and do something illogical. I don't know why I did what I did.

Actually I do, I hit the kerb on my normal "pull up on the left" stop, but since it was a low speed collision at less than 5mph he only gave me a minor. I went through the whole test thinking I had failed, when I was actually onto a resounding pass...then 2 minutes to go I made the mistake of bad positioning and got the serious mistake.

I feel like taking a break/quitting driving, but I guess it would be a waste of money. However, I feel psychologically I don't have many options. The same examiner failed me twice-l My last fail was 50-50, all I did was not give way to the right as a truck was blocking them off. (gave me the same manouvre twice) and failed me with 4 minors and 1 major twice. If I rebooked at the test centre, and saw I had him again I think it will add to my nerves. I'm not saying he is at fault, but I just don't want him again.

Sorry for rambling.
