Disaster! broken cambelt

Bought a second hand fiesta 1.4 diesel last week and the cambelt has broken even though the seller said it has been replaced recently.

Garage are looking at it now. Anyone have any idea of what I could be looking at cost wise? what's the worst case scenario?
