London to Seahouses - Stopover Suggestions

Hi,

I'm planning London to Seahouses trip. I'd be starting bit late in the evening, around 7 pm or later, don't want to drive at night. I was thinking of taking a break somewhere near Doncaster. I don't want to get off A1, could someone recommend a good and safe place to spend a night with early morning breakfast option?

Any other stop suggestions are also most welcome.
