A friend of mine who works in a garage fitted a steering rack to a Focus last week, supplied by Euro Car Parts. After fitting and tracking it he drove it around the block and the steering wheel was slightly off centre so ge just had to move the track across slightly. He made no more than a half turn on the track rod and it literally separated from the rack!!! When they removed the gaiter and looked at it, the inner track end has completely unscrewed fro the rack and was badly rusted. The garage demanded that the branch manager came down to look at it but he wasn't interested until they told him that it was going on Facebook in the next 30 minutes. He was down there in 10! They refused the offer of another rack and now buy their units elsewhere. Worrying!
