Hi
My son has been involved in a 3 car shunt
He was the driver in the middle car and was stationary at the time of the accident on the M4 on the feeder lane to the M25 (North bound).
The car that hit us from behind had tried to get in between the lorry behind us and our car. He failed to stop and hit the back of us.
Unfortunately the lorry drove off so we could not get his as a witness.
The driver behind is now claiming we had already hit the car in front of us (and therefore we should be liable for that part of the accident) and he failed to stop because we stopped so suddenly (because we hit the car in front).
This is all lies.
We got photos of the cars and the guy behind asked us to keep it out of the insurance companies (as he was a new driver).
Insurance companies are looking into it. The guy in front already has said he only felt one bang.
Can anyone provide advice on fighting this?
