Bumped into a wall

I need advice if anyone can help me. I'm a tired new mum and I was parking
My car closed to a wall in the dark and I miss judged the wall and now my os passage door is a mess. I'm going to get a quote at a garage to fix it. It's going to be a lot so do I use insurance to pay or pay myself? I cave no claims cover so I'm hoping I can use insurance. Can anyone shed some light. I'm so cross with myself and so is my husband.
