False witness

Hi everyone,

Hope you can help. My fiancée had an accident a few months back where a driver went in the back of his car. His car and the car behind behind have been written off.

Surprisingly the other driver is claiming to have 2 independent witnesses. She has submitted 2 witness statements which are both false.

I am furious, my solicitor wants me to back down and admit liability when I did nothing wrong.

I was wondering what I could do. I was thinking of hiring a p.i. to investigate these false witness statements? This is out and out fraud.

Any advice would be appreciated.
