Expensive Insurance

Hello,

I've had my driving license for a good 3 months now. I'm a 17 years old lad, who will be 18 years old the 9th of April. Basically, since I've got my driving license I've been looking for insurance. Everytime I apply for a quote, I get an expensive quote. Or when I apply for an old car, from 1999-2004, I get refused. I've tried with different kind of cars, such as Vauxhall Corsa, and Peugeot 206 - Unfortunately, denied as usual. So I don't know how I can sort this around? Do any of you guys have any experience with good insurance providers for young drivers? Not driving is not an option for me unfortunately, since I have a job quite far from my home, and it's a good one to kickstart my career, so can't quit.

So my question is. Do anyone have any family member/friends who is young and drives a car, and doesn't pay a whole wage on insurance?

Conclusion:
Looking for a car, which can get easily insured. Price up to £1.000.
Cheap insurance provider for young drivers. Prefer monthly, and can pay up to £150 a month.
