Husband was knocked down whilst crossing on a pelican. He pressed button car stopped hears beeps he crosses. Reaches just past half way and his legs are clipped taking him up onto bonnet, head through windscreen and landed 12 ft in front centre of road. Suffered a broken neck, fractured skull and other minor to medium severity injuries. The driver claimed a green light. The driver that stopped admitted to beginning to proceed when the lights began to flash Amber without waiting for husband to finish reaching the other side. But he did see him hit and told police all of this at the scene. The incident report has come back stating insufficient evidence with three independent witness' who stated they saw hubby rush out and get hit giving her no time to react. Husbands statement is not on there (the 60 second one taken in ambulance) and neither is the driver who stopped correctly to let husband cross. Have put an in appeal with the police. any advice welcomed. Even if it is just seek legal advice now. Thanks
