A few days ago I was in a retail parks car park and accidentally pulled out in front of someone. I feel really guilty about it, I'm normally a very conscientious driver, but I had a brief lack of concentration and didn't look that way a second time before pulling out.
Luckily nothing happened, but I think the other driver was, quite rightly, pretty annoyed by the sounds of the horn tooting I got.
I'm really worried now that they would be annoyed enough to report me to the police about it, especially as there would be cctv cameras likely to have picked up the incident.
Has anyone been in this type of situation before?
How long would it take to hear from the police if it was reported?
I really am worried sick about it as I couldn't afford a hike in insurance fees, or be left without a car as I live in the middle of nowhere. I know it was my own fault, and if I could go back and change it I absolutely would, but that's just not going to happen
