Insurance while claim being processed

Hi all,
I recently had an accident where car slid on ice and slammed into telegraph pole. Both car and pole were written off and as I need a car for work I need to organise insurance. However, my own insurers can't give me a quote as claim is processing while any online quotes require value of claim which until claim processed I can't give. Anyone got any ideas on how I can get insurance or am I simply going to have to wait until claim processed.
