Advice please - I was driving along a one way road with parked vehicles to the right of me ,whilst driving about 20MPH a dog slipped its lead in front of me i hit the dog stopped thinking the dog had gone under the car , the dog then run off it was a Labrador , dog ran off and then i was hit from behind by a third party.
The owner of the dog gave me the insurance details of the dog so i could make a claim for damage to the bumper of the car.My insurance company said they will not pursue the dogs policy I have to make the claim myself.
Speaking to insurance company today they have said the third parties insurance are saying they are not liable for hitting me from behind .
How can this be ?
