I was travelling along the A30 in Cornwall at Temple where there is a long 40mph stretch with variable speed limit cameras. It was late at night and I could not believe it when an idiot came right up behind me so close I could not even see his headlights. I was not going to be pushed. I blew my horn to no avail and was so incensed I decide to slow down and stop. He couldn't pass me as there were cones blocking the other carriageway. With my heart thumping, I got out and asked if he's seen the 40mph signs every where. Some expletives were traded and he was, in my view, the reason so many "accidents" happen. I grabbed his keys from the ignition and asked why he was driving so close and what he expected to gain from it. All I got was a "the police are on their way" or words to that effect. Knowing i was not the guilty party and so full of anger, i walked back to my car and drove off - leaving him and his silly blue Citroen stranded. After a few yards I stopped and threw his keys over the hedge, feeling very satisfied with myself. Tailgators are the biggest nuisance and threat on Britain's roads. Perhaps this idiot might think twice before he does it again. I hope it's all recorded on the cameras as I have no guilt whatsoever.
