Hello to all - this is my first post on this forum.
I'm hoping to get some answers about questions I have re. the rear brake drums/shoes, in particular the auto shoe adjusters. I have a a 2004 Fiat Scudo 2.0 JTD van - old shape.
Firstly, do I need to back off any adjusters to remove the rear drums? If I remove the drums but don't remove or replace the shoes, what do I have to do about the adjusters? Do they need adjusting somehow?
If when I remove the drums and find that the shoes need replacing, how do I adjust the adjusters after renewing the shoes?
I hope this all makes sense. Basically I will remove the drums to inspect the shoes. Depending on their condition, I will either just put the drums back on, or renew the shoes and refit drums. It's the adjusters that are a bit of a mystery to me.
