I'm heading off on a 7 month trip around the world next week, and a friend has asked if they can take my car and use it whilst I'm gone. Is this allowed?
I plan on cancelling my insurance as i don't really want to keep paying for it, so are they able to start their own new policy as the main driver on my car which they do not own?
Also, I won't be paying the DD on the car tax so is it easier for me to SORN it then let him retax when he's ready, or to call Direct Gov and swap the payment details?
If there are any other areas of car lending that I could get penalised for missing, letting me know would be great
