Is it me or the clutch??

How can i find out if i need a new clutch or not?

I have a Peugeot 206 1.1 2003 and when i go on built up streets and need a lot of clutch control i find it to be sticky, and my bite is also very high not leaving me a lot of room for error, also sometimes when i shift to reverse the car will not engage and i have to re-shift again to get it to work.

This is my first car so i'm not sure if its because i used to learning to drive in a brand new car and gone to an older car or if it is my clutch? any ideas?
