Much is said about different car manufacturers and the way they respond to failures and issues with their cars. Vauxhall and their electric parking brakes failing, Renault and their heater wiring burning out and electronic dashes failing, Ford and their instrument cluster faults etc. All of them have not responded until forced to by public opinion/pressure or the transport regulators in various countries.
The latest car manufacturer to mess up is VW and not for the first time either. This will cost them in America but it does not say if it is a worldwide problem. Either way it shows how corrupt this company is. For those who don't know or have forgotten, this company was fined around £60 million in the late 90s for failing to divulge its diagnostic systems outside of its own dealerships contrary to EU rules.
Hopefully they may just learn they are not above the law.
