How to advise Breakdown Services of my location

I recently had cause to request assistance, and thanks to the help of a pub landlord was able to provide a post code to the help line.
I was quite frankly unable to explain my location on an unclassified road otherwise.

Would the help line have been able to send assistance if I had provided Lat and Long info from my satnav current position?
