Corsa SXI Gears Question

Hello :)

I purchased a Corsa SXI Twinport (06) a few weeks ago, and I've started to notice that going from 2nd gear into 3rd, it sometimes slips into 1st gear, it seems to get stuck at a point between neutral and going up, and then goes into third, rather than neutral and up into 3rd.

This isn't happening all of the time, maybe every 1/3 gear changes from 2nd to 3rd will do this, but obviously as you can guess this happening on the motorway etc is just a tad bit unpleasant lol


Thanks for any advice on what it may be or if there is anything that can rectify this without having to go to a garage.
