My hire vehicle broke down around 4pm yesterday. I got through straight away and was given estimated call out upto 3 hours. I was kept informed and the patrol turned up around 7pm. Having determined that he could do nothing, recovery was arranged and he said it could be upto 1 hour as they were busy. I got 2 more updates and was told to expect recovery around 1115pm. I called back around 1100, waited around 13 minutes to get an update. Breakdown arrived after midnight. All staff were charming. Guess which far flung location I was broken down in???? 2 minutes from Sloane Square in the middle of London. The reason for breakdown was broken drive belt.
Maybe you should consider using technology that allows us to send you a picture of the cause of breakdown using our mobile phones, thereby saving me 3 hours in this case, and saving the RAC a wasted call by the patrolman, and further saving by not having to call on independent garages to help out when you are busy.
