Front Wheel bearing Part info please

I'm having to change the N/S front wheel bearing on my Audi A6. The bearing is the bolt on type & it came with the following part. It looks like a shim/washer/spacer? has a flange on the inner ring. I've tried to upload a photo but this site won't allow me to.


I've checked on elsawin & partsbase & they don't show it. Any help guys

item's 18 & 36 shows the hub & bearing but not this part.
