Been trying to find info for ages on this and I see a sticky at top of this forum.... :-)
Anyway, heres what we have:-
2010 Galaxy. Had "engine malfunction" warning message for months. Occasionally, get a brake light bulb warning - even though they're fine. Apart from this - zero problems with car.
Finally got round to getting codes read. 29 of them (inc brake light bulb and ABS - abs is fine too).
Mobile mech I know has done work for us before and is good. He has contact in Ford who says its 100% dash connection that is spiking ECU. Offered fix for £200.
Got a mate whos service manager for Ford. He cant find any alerts for this and isnt aware of. But he agrees something is spiking ECU.
So Im torn as to what to do? Sound like my mech is right?
