replacing headlight bulb on Suzuki Wagon R

I am having difficulty removing the bulb from the right headlamp on a 2003 Suzuki Wagon R. I have peeled back the flexible rubber cover and can feel a spring steel clip but cannot get purchase on it to release it.

I would have to take the bumper off to access the third securing bolt if I wanted to take the entire headlight reflector unit out - so that's a no no!

I think this vehicle is the same as a Vauxhall Agila.
