I have a ctek smart charger which allows battery charging when the battery is installed so ecu date ect is not lost due to battery removal.
Am wondering if its safe for the electrical system,engine management system etc to charge the battery this way?
The charger has a disulphation mode which I understand sends out ' pulses ' to break up any deposits on the battery and these are of high voltage which possibly could damage the ecu?
I have had patrols come out & charge the battery jump start I guess and the battery was not removed.
