I had a flat tyre a few weeks ago and took my car to a local tyre company.
Over the past few weeks I have had the following services on my 2008 Volkswagon Golf:
First company:
1. four new tyres (2 x hankook on the front, 2 x lanvigator on the back)
2. Four-wheel alignment done using mechanical approach (poorly done)
Second company:
3. Four wheel laser alignment
4. Wheel balancing (minor changes made, weights changed from single weight to multiple)
5. Four wheel laser alignment (double check no changes made)
6. Wheel balancing (minor changes made)
You would expect that the car would be working fine by now however it does not feel right when driven. This has occurred ever since the first or second appointment above and still has not been resolved.
The car feels very bumpy and there is still some steering wheel shakes (at motorway speeds) and the car often pulls to the left or the right.
As I have made many attempts to get the above resolved to no avail. I do wonder if the problem is something else other than the wheel alignment or the balancing or whether I need to make further visits to get this problem resolved.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
