I have never had a dash cam before, so it is all new to me in terms of how they work. I have heard that they can be very useful when your car is left unattended because they are able to record video; this is a feature that I am very keen to make use of as I have encountered 2 accidents to my car when it was left unattended in a public car park.
I really don't know where to start when it comes to what I should be looking for when purchasing a dash cam, so any help would be appreciated.
Ideally, I am not too fussed about HD recording and all that jazz, the main feature that I would want to use is the one that I mentioned - being able to record whilst the vehicle is unattended. Also, because my car is left in a public car park for up to 8 hours, I need something with a lot of battery life.
